February blog: How do I deal with missing student work

What's the most irritating: Students who ask me for makeup work from a day that they were present in my classroom but chose not to do any work.

My policy: You only get makeup work if you have an excused absence.

For those students who qualify for makeup work, they simply go to the "Absent Files" folder that corresponds to their class period and take any work they missed that week.
